THE ORNITHOLOGIST
In the latest film from João Pedro Rodrigues (“Two Drifters,” “To Die Like a Man”) a solitary ornithologist Fernando (Paul Hamy) embarks on a journey searching for an elusive species of stork but is quickly swept away by raging rapids. Rescued by a pair of Chinese pilgrims, Fernando ends up plunging headlong into an eerie and dark forest in this “transfixing spiritual and sexual odyssey” (Los Angeles Times).
